Absolutely the best Caramel Syrup.....ever......I drink it. I do put it on pancakes, in my coffee and over ice cream as well, but I do drink it. I can't help it. Credit/Blame goes to creationsbykara.com.
Buttermilk Caramel Syrup
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick of butter
In a LARGE saucepan whisk and bring to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and whisk in:
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
IT WILL BUBBLE, hence the LARGE sauce pan. As it cools the bubbles will go away. Enjoy!
